What is Project Access?
Project Access is a program of the Coalition of Community Health Clinics. It is comprised of volunteer physicians and health systems who donate health care services not available through one of our participating clinics. The first step in the process is to consult with a provider at one of the participating clinics.
Safety Net Clinics located throughout Portland provide access points into Project Access. This ensures you, the patient, has a primary care provider and care coordination while being treated by a volunteer specialist.

How to Obtain Health Care
If you are uninsured and seeking health care, you must first start by enrolling with a participating safety net clinic. Each clinic is an independent non-profit with different eligibility guidelines.
You may contact a clinic directly by clicking on a clinic link to the left. Use the “FIND A CLINIC” search feature to help find the right clinic to meet your needs.
A referral into Project Access must come from one of our participating safety net clinics.
Project Access Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Project Access Services you must meet the following criteria:
referred by a participating Safety Net Clinic
at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
a resident of the Portland Metropolitan area for at least six months
have no access to insurance
and have a demonstrated medical need
