Volunteer at a Coalition Community Clinic

Volunteer as an Medical Provider at a Coalition Clinic. Many of our clinics rely entirely on volunteers providers. Providers decide their level of involvement, from one 3-4 hour clinic per month to one per week. We also need Specialists to provide care to patients in their office, or at one of our clinic sites.

The Wallace Medical Concern
The Wallace Medical Concern
Has the opportunity to provide Urgent Care Service to Uninsured Low Income Patients with your help! We welcome ANPs, FNPs, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and ED Doctors to volunteer at our Gresham Clinic. The Wallace Medical Concern Clinic needs volunteers on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30pm.
Dermatologists:
Dermatologists are needed to volunteer Thursdays in downtown Portland. Help us keep dermatological care out of the emergency room! Volunteer as little as once a year to see patients for Basal cell carcinoma, severe psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and warts.
Podiatrists:
Podiatrists needed for our Gresham and downtown clinics. We commonly see patients for ingrown toenails, callous and nail debridement, heel pain and plantar warts. We ask podiatrists to make a minimum commitment of 2 volunteer shifts a year.

Outside In
Project Erase Tattoo Removal
Outside In is recruiting Medical Doctors, Naturopathic Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses to help in our tattoo removal program. Volunteer to remove tattoos that pose social barriers and prevent personal growth and change. All training is provided. (Minimum of 5 years experience for RN’s and 2 years for other medical professionals.)
Podiatrists
Podiatrists are needed to provide care to a broad range of patients with a wide array of medical diagnoses.
Trans Clinic
Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy, Naturopathic Doctors and Nurse Practitioners are needed to provide medical care to transgender clients during Outside In’s Trans Clinic

Southwest Community Health Clinic
SWCHC is recruiting additional providers for our chronic disease clinics. Currently needed are MD’s, especially Internists or Family Medicine physicians. A couple additional MD’s are needed on the 1st and 3rd Mondays to help with the Chronic Disease Management Clinics.

Volunteer Process:
If you are a Medical Professional and wish to learn more about volunteering in a Coalition Clinic you may email volunteer@coalition-clinics.org . We will forward your interest to our group of 13 Clinic Volunteer Managers.
We will soon provide on our website a “Volunteer Paperwork Package” which will include:
- Volunteer Intake form
- Clinician Credentialing Checklist (determining comfort level with a variety of procedures and patient population types)
- Multnomah County Health Department Indemnification Application (protecting you from legal suits as a volunteer) These forms are available now, below.

Multnomah County Health Department Indemnification
MCHD provides indemnification for community health volunteers. Coalition Clinics will ask you to provide the MCHD paperwork below and submit it to the clinic. Clinics will submit the paperwork to MCHD.

If you are a current volunteer and need to file a report regarding any limitations or restrictions to your license, any claims or threat of claims please use the following forms:
If you are a clinic staff, patient or volunteer and need to file a report regarding any on site injury, sexual harassment, or patient complaint please use the following form:
All reports will be kept confidential and should be returned to the Coalition of Community Health Clinics.
