Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Portland is a 40-bed pediatric hospital, research and teaching center providing comprehensive medical, surgical and rehabilitative care to children with orthopaedic conditions.

• All orthopaedic conditions (except acute trauma)
• Scoliosis/kyphosis
• Idiopathic, neuromuscular and congenital clubfoot and other foot deformities
• Congenital pseudoarthrosis of the tibia
• Spina bifida (related orthopaedic conditions only)
• Skeletal growth abnormalities
• Neuromuscular diseases — muscular dystrophy and associated diseases
• Cerebral palsy (related orthopaedic conditions only)
• Metabolic bone disease — rickets, osteogenesis imperfecta, skeletal dysplasia
• Hand disorders
• Hip disorders
• Limb deficiencies, congenital and acquired
• Sub-acute trauma, post-trauma deformities
• Leg length discrepancies
• Musculoskeletal tumors (cooperatively with OHSU)
• Gait Abnormalities
• Reconstructive surgery for healed burns
• Early repair and late reconstruction for cleft lip and palate
• Family centered therapy

Financial Assistance, Costs, and Eligibility

• Children up to 18 are eligible for admission
• Eligibility based on child’s medical needs
• A family’s income and insurance status are not criteria for a child’s acceptance as a patient
• No charge for services provided within Shriners Hospitals for Children facilities
